Mike Rud's music engagingly blends traditional jazz and bebop with his own interpretations of more recent singer/songwriter material by the likes of Leonard Cohen, Randy Newman and Ron Sexsmith. In the past twenty years, Mike has lived and performed regularly in Montreal, Ottawa, Edmonton, Vancouver and Victoria, playing with great jazz musicians like Herb Ellis and Chuck Israels, as well as leading his own bands. He was a regular at Café Paradiso from 2004-2007.
