What better way to break the ice than a jam!

Participants at the first Carleton University jazz camp started their week-long program Sunday night with a jam session, hosted by the Alex Moxon Trio, which quickly turned into a friendly musical exchange.

The camp will be hosting public concerts at the Kailash Mital Theatre (formerly the Alumni Theatre) in Southam Hall at Carleton University each evening from Monday, August 8, until Friday, August 13.

The Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday concerts will include performances by Jazz Camp faculty, including Brian Browne, Mark Ferguson, Mike Tremblay, Alex Dean, Kieran Overs, Tim Bedner, Elise Letourneau, and Mike Essoudry. The Wednesday concert will be by Los Gringos, with special guest Cuban percussion master Changuito. The Friday concert will display the talents of the jazz camp participants.
