About Very Nervous System
Jesse Stewart writes: "Very Nervous System is an interactive media-based sound sculpture by Governor General’s Award-winning artist David Rokeby. The piece uses video surveillance technology, a sound system, a computer, and image-processing software designed by Rokeby to translate movement into music and/or sound. I was honoured to have been invited to curate an exhibition of the piece for the Carleton University Art Gallery. I have organized several performances to take place as part of the exhibition, performance that will engage and interact with VNS in a variety of ways."
