Pulse Mondiale is a sonic voyage through the rhythms and textures of this planet's limitless styles of music. A natural outgrowth of founder René Gely's travels in Latin America, the Mid-East and Europe, Pulse Mondiale was started several years ago in San Francisco, and has been developing with a pool of talented world beat and jazz musicians in the Ottawa area. The repertoire consists of Latin Jazz standards, Afro-Cuban descargas, traditional folk songs opened into improvisation, and African grooves.
