Tickets: $15

  • Renée Yoxon - vocals

  • René Gely - guitar
  • Chris Breitner - bass, baritone guitar
  • Don Cummings - drumset, talkbox, vocals.

A rare collaboration between two well-known Ottawa jazz vocalists.

Galaxie Rising Star Megan Jerome is a singer-songwriter-pianist who continues to delight critics and audiences with her original music.

Chris Breitner is a multi-instrumentalist who paints a musical path with toneful colours and odoriferous lichen-dyes.

Don Cummings is the busiest Hammond B3 player in Ottawa, and he’s been grooving mightily in recent weeks with the Rev. Ernie Cox, drummer Mike Essoudry’s sextet, and his own Back-Talk Organ Trio.

Young vocalist Renée Yoxon is a central figure in Ottawa’s jazz scene thanks to her grace, captivating presence and beautiful voice.

René Gely has pursued his musical passions in San Francisco, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Paris. A Parisian for 12 years, he studied with the French world music guitarist Pierre Bensusan and the acclaimed American expatriate, soprano saxophonist Steve Lacy.

Get your winter groove on and hear these diverse musicians get cozy in this collaborative project, created specially for the Winter Jazz Festival.
