Awarded: two tickets to hear acoustic blues guitarist Doug MacLeod

Congratulations to Pierre Brisson, who won two tickets to hear acoustic blues guitarist Doug MacLeod in concert on Saturday November 5 at 7:30 p.m, at Alcorn Music Studio's new GigSpace. Thanks to all the entrants (whose chances were way better than the lottery!) and to random.org who helped us ensure a fair draw. Special thanks to Troubadour Studio for donating the tickets to this show.

Update! An opening act has been added to the concert.
Richard Carr, a talented singer/songwriter from Quebec will be opening for Doug MacLeod.

RICHARD CARR is a singer, guitarist currently residing in Quebec City.  His vast experience and talent have kept him at the forefront of the blues scene in Québec for over 20 years. Carr seeks to promote and preserve old-school musical styles of Rhythm & Blues by performing them with the highest level of musicianship and respect. His repertoire features a wide variety of songs by renowned Blues & Roots musicians all the while incorporating his original material into his sets. "I try to play closer to the original rather than doing a more modern version of a tune".

"I make sure they sound really rootsy and rock 'n' roll. I try the best I can to do justice to the material."

Richard Carr is signed to record label Iguane Records, a first recording is scheduled for Dec 2011 .

Richard Carr performs as a solo acoustic artist or electric trio/full band
