Congratulations to Bradley Evans who won the free pair of tickets (a $30 value) to hear the exciting debut performance of the IMOO (Improvising Musicians of Ottawa/Outaouais) Orchestra at the first Ottawa Winter Jazz Festival. Thanks to everyone who entered and to random.org for providing the winning number.
The concert will take place in Club SAW at Arts Court on Saturday, February 4, 2012 - 3 p.m. Tickets are still available for purchase if you didn't win.
The IMOO Orchestra (or IMOOO, with an emphasis on the ooooooo...) will be comprised of many artists who have participated in IMOO’s bi-weekly concert series. It will be led by drummer and percussionist Jesse Stewart.
JazzScene weekly email newsletter subscribers may enter the draw to win the tickets. Not a subscriber yet? See below – it's easy to subscribe, to be eligible to win these and future tickets.
Jesse Stewart is the conductor of the IMOO Orchestra. OttawaJazzScene.ca has interviewed him and reported on a number of his interesting performances and projects during the past two years. What is the URL (web address) and first sentence from one of these articles on our website?
NOTE: you may use the "Search" feature to find an article, or browse the News and Interviews, or Reviews sections of the site, or even look this up in an older version of our weekly Jazz Scene newsletter. Do NOT send a reference to an event listing; those will not be accepted as correct answers.
The winner will be notified by phone and email after a random draw on Thursday February 2 at noon. If we cannot reach the person drawn, within 3 hours, then we will draw again until we reach a winner.
Good luck to all participants!
