Congratulations to Phil Gosewich who won a pair of tickets to hear the award-winning Caridad Cruz and Miguel de Armas at Les Brasseurs du Temps on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.!  Les Brasseurs du Temps (BDT) has generously donated the tickets (a $30 value!)

“Havana native Caridad Cruz packs a powerful punch” - Caridad has exploded onto the Ottawa scene, with appearances in the National Arts Centre’s Quebec Scene festival, the Ottawa Jazz Festival, and the Ottawa Bluesfest. She was born in Havana, into a musical family deeply rooted in Afro-Cuban culture.

Master pianist/composer Miguel Angel de Armas was born in Havana, Cuba. He has performed at famous scenes as the Lincoln Centre in New York, sharing stage with figures like Michel Camilo, Randy Brecker, Chick Corea, Joe Zawinul and The Zawinul Syndicate, McCoy Tyner, Earth Wind and Fire, Take 6, Dominic Miller, David Murray, the Spanish Harlem Orchestra and many others.

Les Brasseurs du Temps (BDT) is an award-winning brewery, just minutes away from downtown Ottawa by bicycle or car, or a pleasant 7 minute walk from the OC Transpo #8 bus stop at Les Terrasses de la Chaudière. The #8 bus trip is only a 5 minute hop from the Lebreton Transitway Station.

The answer to our skill testing question, what stage does BDT present Monday evening jazz concerts on, is "Cabaret du temps qui brasse located in the basement, or something similar. The answer can be found starting at brasseursdutemps.com/shows where you can also find out more about this and other jazz shows this summer and how to make a meal reservation.
