Cost: $100 for six sessions

Have you ever wanted to learn about how jazz is performed and how it evolved? Ottawa Jazz Orchestra Artistic Director Adrian Cho will teach a six-part series in jazz history. Previous sessions of this course, taught at Carleton University’s Learning in Retirement program, were highly praised. Adrian talks about jazz history and the social and cultural setting in which jazz evolved, analyses audio and video recordings, provides insight into jazz performance, performs with other jazz musicians, and uses rhythm and singing exercises to engage participants.
