Recently appointed to the Order of Canada, Phil Dwyer is recognized as one of the greats of Canadian music. He has worked with many of the top names in jazz, classical and popular music. Join Phil for an informative and entertaining session of music, memories, great playing tips and more.

Phil will look back at his illustrious 30 year career, sharing recorded highlights (including unreleased personal recordings) and ‘behind the scenes’ anecdotes. He will also discuss some of his views on practicing, goal-setting, equipment and how he came to develop the Phil Dwyer Edition saxophones.

Phil Dwyer has been nominated for Juno Awards five times. He won Best Mainstream Jazz Album in 1994 and Contemporary Jazz Album of the Year in 2012 for the recording Changing Seasons. Dwyer has also appeared on Juno Award winning recordings with Hugh Fraser (1988), Guido Basso (2004), Don Thompson (2006), Joe Sealy (1997), Terry Clarke (2010), and Molly Johnson (2009).
