Improvising Musicians of Ottawa/Outaouais (IMOO) founders / hosts Linsey Wellman and Craig Pedersen will both present their own solo shows at the next IMOO concert on  Sunday, February 20.

In the first 45-minute set, Wellman will present Ephemera for solo saxophone, original music from his latest CD. If you missed the live performance at his CD launch, here's your second opportunity. Listen to Linsey Wellman describe the making of his Ephemera for solo saxophone and his approach to the music in our interview.

Pedersen will fill the second set with Stuart Lake, a "haunting and lush 45 minute work for improvising trumpeter and electronics composed by Socan award winning young composer Taylor Brook."  Learn more here about this interesting music, which "attempts to bring together two different ways of listening to music: 'active' and 'passive'".
