This Sunday (January 20), CKCU-FM will pay tribute to jazz promoter and radio host Jacques Emond, during the regular timeslot of his long-running jazz show, Swing is in the Air.

The Jacques Emond Tribute Show will include interviews with Jacques' friends and colleagues, from CKCU, the jazz festival, and the jazz community – along with music selections that the interviewees find particularly emblematic of him. OttawaJazzScene.ca editor Alayne McGregor will be one of those participating.

You can listen to the show from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on 93.1 FM or on the web at www.ckcufm.com. CKCU says you're also welcome to drop into the station (on the 5th floor of the Unicentre, Carleton University) during the show.
