Congratulations to Arnie Francis, who won a pair of three-day passes (a $70 value) to the second IMOOfest improvised music festival, from Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 10, at GigSpace. IMOO, the Improvising Musicians of Ottawa/Outaouais, generously donated these passes.
The second annual festival features notable Canadian jazz and improvising musicians: Jean Martin and Christine Duncan, Ellwood Epps and Joshua Zubot’s Land of Marigold, the IMOO Chamber Orchestra and many more! All festival performances will take place in the intimate GigSpace, allowing every subtle note of all nine concerts to be enjoyed.
IMOOfest is presenting a full range of performances from solo to orchestral, on instruments which range from Accordion to Voice – and many others!
Our skill testing question was "Identify one or more of the concerts at IMOOfest that you would like to hear, and name at least one musician who is playing. Correct spelling counts!" Answers can be found at www.improvisedmoo.com/imoofest-2013/schedule/
